Take us back to Vermont please.
Our third annual trip to Yosemite was a success!
Doing dishes in the wild.
Not a bad thing to wake up to.
Flashback to our honeymoon road trip in 2016. Lately I've been thinking about the happiest time of my life. The first thing that always comes to mind is this trip. And it's not just because we got married or that we survived our entire brakes-failing-while-driving-towards-a-cliff debacle or that the internet helped save us after being stranded for 3 days. Those things made this trip pretty incredible and unforgettable in and of itself, but that's not why it was the happiest time of my life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Honestly, even if that stuff hadn't happened, I'd still mark this trip as the happiest I'd ever been because it was the most present I'd ever been. I didn't feel tied down to my possessions or feel like I had to live up to a certain expectation of myself. I didn't care about wearing makeup, or having access to the internet, or living in a 50 sqft box on wheels with no bathroom for two weeks. I was content. I was connected with nature, spending all of my time with my favorite person and our favorite furry friends, and there wasn't a single moment where I wanted to turn back the other direction and head home, even when shit hit the fan for us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I remember when we got back and opened the front door to our house. I looked around at the room and felt like we entered somebody else's home, because I COMPLETELY forgot that we owned furniture. When we were on the road, I wasn't thinking about the things I didn't have or the things I wanted. It was just whatever was happening in that moment. We didn't even book our campsites in advanced - we booked everything as we drove from park to park. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Gus and I are talking about making changes in our lives in the next couple years. We both really want to experience living on the road for however long we need to before we start a family. We're not sure if that experience will be had in a van, an RV, a trailer, or a tiny house on wheels, but we're putting it out into the universe in hopes something will come our way to make it happen!
Can we live here plz?
Our set up. Stoked on our new @rei tent!
Went on another short camping trip this week for a much-needed get away. We’re gonna do this once a month to balance out the hustlin’ & bustlin’ we do with the rest of our time since we can’t quite live on the road just yet.
We’re opposites today!
